I was experimental physicists (Nuclear and elementary particle physics) until 1988. After that I have been working on ICT accessibility area, which focuses on both technology and human. I and my friends developed Bilingual Emacspeak, which was a bilingual extension of T.V. Raman's Emacspeak, in 2001. After 2003, I have been interested in Web accessibility. I participated in W3C WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) Working Group and was a chair of Japanese WCAG, JIS X 8341-3, WG as well as being a chair of SIG-UAI (Universal Access to the Internet) of ITRC (Internet Technology Research Committee) and a chair of WAIC (Web Accessibility Infrastructure Committee).
My goal is, as a researcher and university Professor, to use technology to enhance human's life, especially for persons with disabilities.
