Many issuers believe once their token is\nclassifi ed as security\, the damage to their token value can be fatal due to\nlack of liquidity and many transaction limitations.\n\n-Is token classified as security token a bad news?\n\nNot necessarily\, some tokens might start t o lose their values but it does not\nmean it is all bad to the market. in June 2018\, Leading US cryptocurrency\ntrading platform Coinbase initiated the process to become a fully regulated\nbroker-dealer by the SEC. Meanin g exchanges are working on allowing registered\nsecurity to be lawfully tr aded on approved exchanges. As a result\, we might be\nable to see a trend of only registered security token being traded on approved\nexchanges.\n\ n-What does Registered Security Token mean to us?\n\nSecurity comes with a n actual value and only have a limited amount. Therefore\,\nwith more toke n classified as security and more exchanges registered with SEC.\nWe can e xpect more trustworthy and compliant platforms where the truly limited\nse curity can be trusted and traded freely.\n\nAs regard the ideas of securit y token\, BBC research has found out that\nsecurity token concept is simil ar to the concept of sharing economy and can be\nrapidly incorporated with current use case like Airbnb and OFO which\ndigitalizes services or share s assets with the interested person on online\nplatform. Nonetheless\, sec urity token can not only tokenize services and\nassets that the current sh aring economy can provide\, but it also grants\ntraditional assets that we re difficult to share with tradable liquidity at an\ninternational scale.\ n\nAccording to Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication\, domestic sharing\neconomy's market size is estimated to be 50B in 2018 and is expec ted to grow\nto 60B JPY in 2020.
