 ou set up to run software for yourself at\nhome. It's basically your own p
 ersonal cloud that you can do anything you want\nwith. You could run alter
 natives to major cloud services or develop your own\nbrand new software. I
 t can be as simple or as complicated as you want. You\ncould start with an
  old laptop or a raspberry pi.\n\n## What can you run on a homelab?\n\nThe
 se are just a few of the many many services you can run on a homelab.\n\n 
  * Immich (Photo sync and storage)\n  * Home Assistant (Smart home managem
 ent)\n  * IRC server (Chat and messaging)\n  * Pocket ID (authentication)\
 n  * Paperless (document archive)\n  * Syncthing (file sync like dropbox)\
 n  * And many many more\n\n## What will the Engineer Cafe homelab do?\n\nT
 he Engineer Cafe homelab is a community project to generate new ideas and 
 run\ninteresting services that serve the community. It is intentionally op
 en ended.\nWe want to develop and grow with ideas from the community. Firs
 t we will aim\nto run a simple linux server and get people to host basic s
 tatic pages. Next\nup we need a good solution for authentication.\n\n## Wh
 at hardware will you use?\n\nWe are 3D printing the open source LabRax rac
 k. We have several raspberry pis\nand mini computers to use as the initial
  servers. We expect our hardware will\ngrow over time.\n\n## How can I get
