We are rebranding the\neve nt as RubyIlluminations 2026\, a new type of presentation and live event\n themed around "Light\, Sound\, and Visuals related to Ruby."\n\n## Why the change?\n\nAs we’ve seen in recent RubyKaigi talks\, there is a growing intersection\nbetween software engineering and multimedia\, using Ruby to generate sound or\ncontrol visual displays. Rather than simply providing a venue to "just play\nmusic\," we wanted to create a place for technicall y interesting and free\nexpression\, much like creative coding.\n\nWe are preparing a high-quality stage designed to make multimedia works shine.\nO ur goal is to host an event where everyone feels welcome to share their wo rk\nand connect with the community.
